a taste of inspiration In 2002, I spent a month in the backcountry of Provence amidst ancient perched villages, rugged gorges and craggy hills. I went to learn a little something about French cooking but came away with a lesson in how to live. I found that eating well in Provence isn't reserved for special occasions; it's something to enjoy every day.
and then there's the olive oil While the French are known for their remarkable wines, they also produce some of the world's most distinctive olive oils. I've never tasted olive oil so soft, so delicate or so subtle. There were buttery olive oils that seemed destined for fish; floral, fruity olive oils to drip over goat cheese; spicy green olive oils to drizzle on warm grilled lamb. I was inspired to recreate these flavors at home.
